Post Event Update: Members Happy Hour
We held our Members Happy Hour at Spruce @ Firestation (Bt Timah) on 19 Dec 2019, Thursday evening. We had a good time connecting and mixing with members and associates, over dinner and drinks, wrapping up the Year with good festive cheers and fun.
Signing of MOU between IFE(S) and A-CERTS
A new milestone was reached. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between IFE(S) and A-CERTS, at IFE(S) Members’ Night 2019 , which took place on 4 Dec 2019, Wednesday, at Orchid Country Club.
The signing of the MOU implies greater opportunities in the future for A-CERTS to explore ways to enhance the interests of our members with our strategic partner.

Post Event Update: CERT Connect 2019 on 2nd Oct 2019
We held our CERT CONNECT on 2 Oct 2019, Wednesday morning at Marina Bay Sands Singapore, within the Architecture and Building Services Exhibition. The theme was “From Emergency Response to Crisis Management”. We had the honor of two industry experts who gave excellent presentation in :
a) Effectiveness of Water Mist for Emergency Response (Ms Ann Chai, Lingjack Engineering Works)
b) Role of Emergency Response in Crisis Management and Business Continuity (Mr Noor Azlan, ERCM Consultancy)
It was a enriching and fruitful session with about 50 participants.

Post Event Update: LTH Logistics Visit
As part of A-CERTS’ goals to promote knowledge sharing in the field of emergency response management, A-CERTS organised an inaugural field visit to our member’s organisation to enable other members learning from the industries’ best practices.
Courtesy of LTH Logistics Pte Ltd, we visited their state-of-the-art chemical logistics facility in Jurong Island on 19 August 2019, Monday afternoon. Other than the rare opportunity to access Jurong Island which is gazetted as Protected Area, it was an educational session to learn how LTH Logistics manages the overall HSSE for both hazardous & non-hazardous products and most importantly, their emergency response capability within its premise.

POST EVENT UPDATE: A-CERTS 8th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING ON 31 May 2019
Association of Company Emergency Response Teams (Singapore) held its 8th Annual General Meeting on 31 May 2019, from 1830 hrs to 2030 hrs, at HomeTeamNS Bt Batok. 43 members attended the AGM. This includes 18 Corporate Members (with a total of 28 representatives) and 15 Individual Members.
Honorary Secretary, Mr Bernard Lew, welcomed all members and invited President, Mr Dennis Ng, to give an opening address. The members were briefed on events held between in the April 2018 to May 2019. Mr Bernard had also shared with members on what to look ahead in this new term. After the AGM concluded, all members were invited to the networking dinner catered for the evening.
We appreciate all members for making the time to attend the Annual General Meeting, and we look forward to our next meeting.

A-CERTS 7th CERT Seminar, 28th March 2019
The 7th National Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) Seminar 2019 was held on 28th March 2019 at Star Gallery, The Star Performing Arts Centre. This seminar is an annual signature event, organised by A-CERTS, and was well attended by 750 CERT members and fire safety professionals from the various industries. This theme is “Back to Basics – Building A Strong CERT Foundation”.
SAC Anwar Abdullah (SCDF) gave the opening address to the seminar delegates in the morning.
It was followed by insightful presentations such as smart solutions in area of visual technologies for frontline responders, business continuity, incident management, CERT team readiness to handle confined space rescue incidences. We also have the honour of two speakers who are the winners of The Outstanding Company Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Award by SCDF – Arlanxeo Singapore Pte Ltd and Stolthaven Singapore Pte Ltd. The one-day seminar also explored the latest regulatory compliance, making sure the industry stays informed and relevant.
During the seminar, a total of 9 presentations and 1 panel discussion were delivered by esteemed speakers from various sectors and government agencies. We like to thank all speakers, distinguished guests, delegates for making CERT Seminar a successful event.
